CSA Africa
An initiative aiming to provide young Africans in STEM with access to
quality computer science education.
CSA Africa is an international outreach under the School of Computing Science, University of Glasgow. Our vision is to see a world where young Africans in STEM have access to quality computer science education. As a first step towards achieving this, we run an annual Python programming workshop to empower African undergraduates and postgraduates in STEM with computer programming skills, so that they can acquire the foundational skills and confidence needed to pursue and thrive in a computing related career.
In recognition of the transformational change engineered by this initiative, Dr. Sofiat Olaosebikan (our Founder and Lead) was named as one of the Future World Changers at the University of Glasgow. Here is a short video of her talking about her vision for the initiative.
