WHAT VENUE WITHIN THE SCHOOL OF ICT IS THE WORKSHOP TAKING PLACE?

Computer lab, third floor, Kalisimbi building (formerly Kist IV building).

WHAT DOES THE TEACHING SCHEDULE LOOK LIKE?

The morning session will run from 9000 to 1300, while the afternoon session will run from 1430 to 1830. Each session will involve teaching with lots of hands-on programming.

DOES THE WORKSHOP RUN ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY?

No, the workshop only runs from Monday to Friday

IS THERE PROVISION FOR ACCOMMODATION, MEALS AND TRANSPORTATION FOR THE PARTICIPANTS?

No, you will have to cater for this yourself

WILL YOU PROVIDE THE PARTICIPANTS WITH AN OFFICIAL LETTER OF INVITATION?

No, we only send an email notifying you that you have been selected.

WOULD IT POSSIBLE FOR SOMEONE THAT DOES NOT OWN A PERSONAL LAPTOP TO ATTEND THE WORKSHOP?

Yes, each participant will have access to a desktop computer during the workshop.

WHAT IF I HAVE A PERSONAL LAPTOP, CAN I BRING IT ALONG? 

WHAT IF I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND THE WORKSHOP?

Yes, you can come along with your laptop. However, you will need to install the anaconda distribution. See guidelines at this link.

If you can no longer attend the workshop for one reason or the other, please let us know by sending an email to pwsafrica@gmail.com. We have lots of people on the waiting list!

I MISSED THE APPLICATION FORM DEADLINE, CAN I STILL ATTEND THE WORKSHOP?

No, we will only admit those that were selected into the workshop. If you wish to attend however, drop us an email at pwsafrica@gmail.com, we will put you on our waiting list, and you will be notified as soon as a spot becomes available.

WILL YOU PROVIDE US WITH A CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION?

Yes, we will provide you with a certificate, on the condition that you attend all workshop sessions, attempt all programming tasks and assignments, and participate in the final group project.
